So this is us, the VSB-TUO Career Centre

We are here to help students launch their careers

We offer students education and development beyond the classic curriculum and syllabus. And we know directly from employers that those who actively use our services are more attractive to them. Being a university with high employability of graduates in the field is part of the entire VSB-TUO Strategy.

A bridge between practice and university

The labor market is constantly changing and we dream. We obtain information from employers about the requirements for a quality and successful employee and then create and offer students services that are useful and attractive and that will move them further.

We know where we are going

Our goal is to be a respected center for the development of key competencies of students for a better quality of life and to support entrepreneurship as an integral part of the VŠB-TUO culture.

And that’s why we’re always happy to join forces with those who are working on similar issues. The exchange of knowledge and experience takes us forward and helps us to maintain this course

Cooperation between Career Centres of universities in the Czech Republic

We keep in touch. We meet regularly, we call each other, we talk. Because only by pulling together will we achieve something greater. Thanks to this cooperation, for example, the Strategy of Career Centres of the Czech Republic was created. In particular, we have to highlight cooperation with the career centres ČZU, VŠCHT and UTB.

Association of University Counsellors

We are a founding member of the career centres working group within the Association of University Counsellors. It brings together academics and other staff working at universities who provide academic, psychological, special-educational, professional and career counselling, including other related counselling, information and facilitation services, especially to university students.

MS Pact

We are members of the platform for the development of career counselling in the Moravian-Silesian Region at MS Pact, whose main mission is to help people find jobs in the region. It focuses on career counselling, cooperation between schools and companies and labour market issues in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
