the VSB-TUO Career Centre

The Centre was established a few years back

But at the very beginning there was a fair&conference KARIÉRA PLUS for our students, which was organised by our stalwart Alice in 2008.

Then came the year-round operation

Consultations, programs, courses, coaching, business support, Green Light, career portal, mock interviews, guides, surveys... There are 10 of us today and we’re moving forward!

We’re here to help students
launch their careers

We offer students education and development beyond the traditional curriculum and syllabus.

And we know directly from employers that those actively using our services are more attractive to them.

Being a university with high employability of graduates in their fields is part of VSB-TUO’s entire strategy.

A bridge between practise and university

The job market is changing and we’re changing with it. We gather information from employers about the requirements for a good and successful employee, and then create and offer services to students that are useful and attractive and that will move them forward. Our goal is to be a respected centre for the development of students’ key competencies for a better quality of life and to promote entrepreneurship as an integral part of the culture at VSB-TUO.

Cooperation between Career Centres of universities in the Czech Republic

We keep in touch. We meet regularly, we call each other, we talk. Because only by pulling together will we achieve something greater. Thanks to this cooperation, for example, the Strategy of Career Centres of the Czech Republic was created. In particular, we have to highlight cooperation with the career centres ČZU, VŠCHT and UTB.

A university for entrepreneurship

A platform for promoting entrepreneurship in universities, which we regularly participate in, helping us to develop one of the most important skills of our time. Entrepreneurship.

Association of University Counsellors

We are a founding member of the career centres working group within the Association of University Counsellors. It brings together academics and other staff working at universities who provide academic, psychological, special-educational, professional and career counselling, including other related counselling, information and facilitation services, especially to university students.

MS Pact

We are members of the platform for the development of career counselling in the Moravian-Silesian Region at MS Pact, whose main mission is to help people find jobs in the region. It focuses on career counselling, cooperation between schools and companies and labour market issues in the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Alliance for Youth | Nestlé Needs YOUth

We are in contact with employers. One of the platforms we are members of is the Nestlé Needs YOUth alliance. As a part of the Alliance we meet, inspire and share our future steps to improve the conditions of young people and students, future potential employees.
